Looking for some lighthearted fun then think of attending a performance of “The Addams Family” at the Annapolis Summer Garden Theatre on Thursday – Sunday evenings now through Sept 6. This macabre tale tells of the meeting between the Addams family and the family of the sweet, “normal” young man who is beau to Wednesday Addams (the family daughter). Follow the hilarity of the fateful night when the Addams family hosts a dinner at their home for the “normal” boyfriend and his parents. Relive some of the fun of watching the Addams family when it was a hit television show.
Looking for something more traditional but lighthearted all the same then head up to the courtyard at Reynold’s Tavern on a Tuesday evening between now and September 29 and see the Annapolis Shakespeare Company perform “Goldon’s Servant of Two Masters” and 18th century farce about a worker who tries to make double wages by serving two bosses. Mix ups abound and lead to much laughter at the tomfoolery that ensues.
So, get ready to laugh and enjoy a getaway to Annapolis for a show or for an overnight stay.
