We have the Flag House Inn decked out with American flag bunting to greet you when you arrive in town for the July 4th celebrations in Annapolis. Annually visitors flock to town to see the July 4th parade followed by a concert presented by the Navy band at the Susan B. Campbell park at the City Dock. Once the concert is complete you can experience the always beautiful fireworks as the sky darkens in the evening.
Looking for more things to do while in town that weekend consider seeing the play “Catch Me If You Can” based on autobiography of Frank Abagnale, Jr which was also a motion picture in 2002. The lovely outdoor Summer Garden Theater shows run on Thursday – Sunday nights with this play presented July 2 – 25.
The ever popular Rams Head Tavern On Stage has shows July 1, 3 & 5 featuring music or comedy. So, check out their schedule to see if you would like to add entertainment in an intimate venue to your “to do” list for this July 4th holiday weekend.
Before leaving town for home on Sunday you can visit the First Sunday Arts Festival on West Street here in the Historic District of Annapolis. There are crafts, art work, food and other goodies for sale as well as performers to entertain you. Easy parking in the Whitmore Garage on the corner of Calvert & Clay Streets.
If you are looking for a place to spend the weekend do consider a stay with us here at Flag House Inn.
So, get your flag out (whether it be on a shirt, blouse or a dowel) and come to town to celebrate our glorious Fourth of July!
