The 16th Secret Garden Tour will be held this year on Saturday and Sunday June 6 & 7. The Hammond-Harwood House Association will celebrate its 75th Anniversary this year. Throughout the Historic District of Annapolis numerous gardens will be open for your viewing. All of the gardens are within walking distance of the Hammond-Harwood house which is located at the corners of Maryland Avenue and King George Street. Tickets purchased in advance are $30 and on the day of the tours the tickets are $35 each. This year the ticket price includes entrance to “Ladies of Influence: 75 years of the Hammond-Harwood House Museum” with information on the women who started the Hammond-Harwood Association and their influence on preserving this extraordinary 18th century home.
That same weekend on Sunday, June 7, you can easily walk from the tour site over to West Street and take part in “First Sunday Arts Festival” which runs from noon until 5 PM on West Street between Church Circle and Calvert Street. This months festival will have a French theme with a special French themed art exhibit at the Annapolis Collection Gallery and several of the restaurants on the street will have French themed specials.
