Located on the third floor on the back of the inn, this King room has occupancy for two people. This room is located across the hall from Far East for those wanting two rooms.
The room comes with free parking onsite for one car, a rarity in downtown Annapolis, along with HD cable TV, mini-split providing individually controlled AC & heat, and free wi-fi. There is an en-suite bathroom with shower.
There are two comfortable chairs with good light for reading, as well as a small drop-leaf table, covered with a Turkish kilim, which can serve as a writing desk.
The room is decorated in a coral-colored Chinese patterned toile. The handcrafted radiator covers in the bath and bedroom are in a Chinese Chippendale pattern from the eighteenth century. The two framed, antique hand-colored floral engravings were published in London in the 1770s.
Prominent views from the rear windows are the bell tower of the old Water Witch fire station, now privately owned, reputed to be the only Tuscan Revival fire house in America. Beyond, you can see the massive brick end-chimneys of the Brice House, an exquisite five bay Georgian home on the block behind the inn.
This room overlooks several adjoining back yards. In winter you can see the Maryland State House dome from this room. There is also a lovely view of the US Naval Academy Chapel dome, which is lit at night.
This room is smaller than the king deluxe rooms in the front of the house.
Room Rate: $175-$260/night (+ 13% taxes)
