Free Concerts in the Historic District of Annapolis, Maryland

Music abounds in the Annapolis area during July and August. Some concerts are in ticketed venues but others are open air where you just bring your chair or blanket, your desire to hear some good music and your toes or fingers for “a’tappin” to the tunes.

On Tuesday evenings beginning on July 7 at 7 PM for the next six weeks come to the Susan B. Campbell park at the end of the City Dock of Annapolis and hear the US Naval Academy Band play for your enjoyment. Each week you will hear some selections from the entire band and then others from the bands within the band showing off each specialty from rock and roll to jazz to show tunes to (one of my favorites) retired members of the band who gather together to relive their days as part of the US Naval Academy Band.

On Wednesday evenings venture to the Annapolis Maritime Museum in Eastport for their weekly concerts which run from 7 PM – 8:30 PM. The concerts are free but a donation of $10 is requested it possible. Food and drink are available for purchase during the concerts.

So pack your bags and your chairs, book a room and stay with us and walk to these wonderful concerts this summer here in Annapolis, Maryland.
