The first day of spring was last Thursday but our snow fall two days ago made me realize that winter still has a grip on our area. Fortunately the accumulation was mainly on trees and shrubs so the sidewalks and roads did not need manual clearing. Yesterday I saw the sunshine and decided to head out to USNA for a walk around the yard on a beautiful day. Beautiful it was but blustery and cold also. The whitecaps on the Severn River made me realize that as I headed into the wind I needed to push myself a little harder and be happy that I wore a warm hat and gloves. Is it really almost April? Yes, it is. The reason I know that is because the Harbor Queen is back out on the bay and taking visitors to Annapolis on the water for a 40 minute cruise to view our beautiful city from the water.
So, hang in there everyone and know that in just a few more days temperatures are supposed to be in the 60’s and all can leave winter garments behind and get out and about to explore the Historic District of Annapolis, Maryland. We here at Flag House Inn will be ready to welcome you and introduce you to the many sights to see and great places to sit down and enjoy a lovely meal while you are visiting Annapolis.
