It is almost impossible to believe that Thanksgiving will be here next week. How rapidly time flies when one is keeping busy at the B&B. We are looking forward to having family and friends with us to celebrate this joyous day and hope that you, too, will enjoy the warmth and laughter of happiness around the Thanksgiving table with your close ones. Best of all lots of turkey sandwiches for several days thereafter!
This upcoming weekend the Masqueraders at USNA will be presenting their final performances of “The Importance of Being Earnest” in Mahan Hall on the USNA campus. Tickets are general seating and cost $10 at the door. If you want to see an Oscar Wilde play don’t miss your chance to do so this weekend on either Friday or Saturday at 8 PM.
Need some pre-turkey day exercise? Be at the Navy-Marine Corps stadium before 7 AM on Saturday, Nov 22 and join in the either the Half Marathon or the 10K run with all proceeds from the event aiding local charities. For more information check out http://
After Thanksgiving there are lots of other things to do.
Upcoming events in town include a performance by The King William Players of St. John’s College. On December 6 & 7 in Key Auditorium on the campus a student written play entitled “A Door Made of Frosted Glass” will be presented. It is semi-autobiographical about a young man growing up in the Republic of Georgia.
Then in December don’t miss out on the annual Midnight Madness on the first Thursday which is Dec 5. All of the store in the downtown area will remain open until midnight that evening. If you have never been in town for that it is definitely a don’t miss event. Lots of great buys, people to mingle with, goodies to eat and sip on as well as just the joy of a beautiful historic area to meander about and to do some unique holiday shopping.
Wishing you and yours a most wonderful and festive Thanksgiving from all of us here at Flag House Inn Bed and Breakfast.
