On Sunday, July 7 between 12 noon – 5 PM the First Sunday Arts and Crafts festival will again take place on West Street between Calvert Street and Church Circle in historic downtown Annapolis. It is just a five minute walk up Main Street from Flag House Inn to get to the site. There will be numerous booths with arts and crafts on display and for sale as well as excellent food vendors available to quench all appetites. So, forget the heat and come in to enjoy a Sunday afternoon in Annapolis.
If you have never been to the US Naval Academy Band concerts you must plan to do so this year. Beginning this Tuesday evening, July 9 at 7 PM at Susan B. Campbell park you can enjoy the fantastic sounds of the band. The park is located at the end of the City Dock in downtown Annapolis. Bring a folding chair, sit near the water and enjoy not only the music but the many boats going by as well as the sun setting in the west. What a lovely way to spend an evening. If it is raining, though, the concert will be cancelled as there is not a second venue that is covered to retreat into. If you plan to stay overnight in town check out Flag House Inn’s website for availability. It is only a two minute walk from the front porch of our B&B to the park site.
