There are two interesting musical events happening in Annapolis, MD this Wed, June 27, 2013. Both concerts are free so what could be better than that as we are at the start of summer season.
The Army Field Band Jazz Ambassadors will be performing at the Susan Campbell Park which is at the city dock area of the historic district. It is only a five minute walk from the front door of the Flag House Inn B&B which is also right in the heart of the historic district.
The band consists of 19 members and they are definitely professional grade musicians. If you have never heard them bring a lawn chair or just plan to stand and hear an incredible evening of music right by the waterside.
The second concert that evening and, unfortunately, also starting at 7 PM is being held at Maryland Hall for the Creative arts. It will feature jazz saxophonist Art Sherrod, Jr. Art grew up in Palestine, Texas and choose the saxophone when he began playing in his high school marching band. His mastery of the saxophone from those early beginnings will be a treat for all who attend this concert.
So, get ready for the beginning of the many nights of music that happen in Annapolis, MD each summer.
